Dear Diana,
I heard of your book and need your advice!
Im working part time for a company, which hold trading courses. To get people to the course we are holding introductory seminars and at the end of the presentation I have to approach customers and try to sign them up for the course.
so far I havent made any sales and dont know what I could do.I read lot of sales books what we should do but I need really customised solution for me.English is not my first language and I feel I cant express myself on the same level as my colleges.I would really need some good sentences I could say to potencial customers that I dont get stuck in the conversation.I also dont wanna be too pushy!
Usually I walk up to one of the audience and ask like:hi,did u like the presentation,is it sth u would like to do?
99% say of course no and Im stuck at this fase. What else can I say?Im not a sales person just doing this comission based job ,havent made any money >Could u please ,please help me??
I thank you so much in advance!!!
kindest regards

Adrienne

Dear Adrienne,
I'm glad you heard about my work and about wait marketing.
Doing sales is a difficult job. The easy to implement advice I can give you is: start an interaction with the audience before the presentation! While they are waiting for the beginning of the seminar, people will be more receptive to your introduction. Be friendly, just ask how they feel, what they expect - don't be pushy. At the end of the seminar, it will be more natural to go back to them and ask what they thought, don't you think?
I wish you good luck and please let me know how it goes :)
Regards,
Prof. Diana Derval
